Thriving In Sex Work

"I know personally from my years as a sex worker the hunger to learn about money, personal finance, and how to treat sex work like a business. Unfortunately, many sex workers lack access to professional financial advice, or might be afraid to ask for the help they need. 

In writing this book, I broke down sex work money into two parts: first, the emotional side. There’s a special charge for most folks when money is exchanged for sexuality. So I unpack the emotional life of sex work money, and how those feelings can impact our livelihood. 

The second half of the book I offer practical advice. So many people think that all it takes to be good at money is math. Well, we all have calculators on our phones, but very few of us, unfortunately, ever received a formal financial education. Financial literacy—or more specifically the lack of it—is an enormous problem. 

I write about money management as the doings of money—earning, budgeting, saving, investing, spending, sharing, and all the rest, always through the lens of the special challenges sex workers face."
